Float

The float CSS property places an element on the left or right side of its container, allowing text and inline elements to wrap around it. Possible values are:

  • left
  • right
  • none

The clear CSS property property sets whether an element must be moved below floating elements that precede it. Possible values are:

  • none - the element is not moved down to clear past floating elements
  • left - the element is moved down to clear past left floats
  • right - the element is moved down to clear past right floats
  • both - the element is moved down to clear past both left and right floats
